Jim is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and holds his series 6, 7, and 63 securities registrations with LPL Financial and series 65 securities registration with WCG Wealth Advisors.
With over 27 years of experience Jim’s expertise spans both the personal and small business owner markets. His professional advice, coaching and ongoing follow-up help each client make informed decisions and navigate continually changing financial markets. Jim provides his clients personal service and encourages them to rely on him to provide guidance as their Personal CFO.
Before joining WCG Jim came from New England Securities where he held several positions including Investment Specialist and Compliance Officer.
Jim lives in Albuquerque. He is an avid college basketball fan supporting his Purdue Boilermakers. He also enjoys traveling, NFL football and watching movies with his wife Rhoda.
Joe Redmond
Managing Partner
Joe is a Managing Partner with the firm and member of the Investment Strategy Committee. He has been a financial advisor for more than 15 years. In addition to serving the needs of small business owner clientele, he coaches small business owners and facilitates Leadership Development in his church, Sagebrush Community Church. Joe believes these experiences and perspectives translate well to the financial services arena. Joe’s experience spans both the personal and small business owner markets. He serves as a resource for business owners in areas of investment and retirement strategy development and risk management. His professional advice, coaching and ongoing follow-up help each client make informed decisions and navigate the ever-changing financial markets. Joe provides his client’s personal service and encourages them to rely on him as their preferred financial advisor.
Joe lives in Albuquerque with his wife Theresa and enjoys biking and traveling, with his free time.
Kimberly Taylor
Financial Advisor
Kimberly is a financial advisor with The Wealth Consulting Group. She began her career in 1990 in Chicago as a CPA in public and private accounting working in auditing and taxation. Transitioning into financial advisement, her Series 7, 66, and life insurance licenses allow her to use a holistic approach in addressing risk considerations as well as portfolio investing. Her niches include small business owners and families, medical professionals, divorced and widowed clients, employees preparing for and navigating retirement, as well as those ready to begin their investment journey. Kimberly’s passion lies in hands-on client service, clear communication, and customized meetings with a collaborative approach to financial advisement.
Completing her MA in Communication in 2016, Kimberly is also an adjunct professor of Strategic Business Communication with the online MBA program at Rice University. She taught Public Speaking, Social Media Strategy, and Organizational Communication at the University of New Mexico for 7 years. In addition, she speaks professionally at conferences, giving workshops on related skills.
Kimberly lives in Albuquerque and is a proud mom of three grown-and-flown, amazing children. If her free time she enjoys fitness, wine tasting, movies, hiking, family time and travel.
Maria Lee
Branch Manager
Maria Lee first started in the financial service industry about 16 years ago. She joined Jim Brown and Joe Redmond’s team in Albuquerque 2013. Her job duties includes supporting her team, client maintenance and operations. Maria received her degree in Business Administration – International Business with Schiller International University in 1994.
During her spare time Maria enjoys working out, photography, going to concerts, road trips, hiking, beer and wine tasting and spending time with her son and friends.

Eric Altenburg AAMS, AIF, ChFC, CLU
Managing partner, Personal CFO
Eric Altenburg, AAMS, AIF, ChFC, CLU, is the President and Founder of Altenburg Asset Advisors, LLC. He has been delivering financial advice, education, and services since 1994. Previously, Eric served in the United States Submarine Force, concluding his military career as an E-7 (Chief Petty Officer) with a medical discharge in November 1993.
Eric’s commitment to strong principles and a dedicated work ethic was deeply influenced by his upbringing and further developed during his military service. Through these experiences, he gained a lasting appreciation for hard work, personal ethics, honesty, integrity, and the importance of building enduring personal relationships. Colleagues and clients describe him as a thoughtful, deliberate, and hands-on professional who demonstrates genuine care for everyone he serves. He is committed to treating clients like family, not only by fostering strong connections and acting in their best interests, but also by consistently striving to offer the highest standard of professional, unbiased advice.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Eric enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. His hobbies include fly fishing, golf, participating in NHRA small tire drag racing, and enjoying activities with his grandchildren. Eric and his wife, Dolores, have been married since October 2000 and are proud parents of two children, as well as grandparents to Joseph, Theresa, Erik, and Jazmine.
Eric earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2002, followed by the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 2003 from The American College. In 2013, he obtained the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from The College for Financial Planning, and in 2015, received the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation.
Pamela Stanley
Administrative Assistant
Pam is the LPL Registered Administrative Assistant and serves as the Operations Manager for Altenburg Asset Advisors, LLC. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations and supports the development and management of this firm and its staff. Ever so focused on the team approach, Pam continually looks for ways to ensure that we are always delivering the best possible client experience.
Pam joined Altenburg Asset Advisors, LLC in October of 2012, after spending 15+ years working in the financial industry. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Mexico in 1996.
She enjoys spending her free time reading, gardening and cooking, as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also volunteers for an international youth sports program to give back to her community.
