Eric Altenburg, AAMS, AIF, ChFC, CLU, is the President and Founder of Altenburg Asset Advisors, LLC. He has been delivering financial advice, education, and services since 1994. Previously, Eric served in the United States Submarine Force, concluding his military career as an E-7 (Chief Petty Officer) with a medical discharge in November 1993. 

Eric’s commitment to strong principles and a dedicated work ethic was deeply influenced by his upbringing and further developed during his military service. Through these experiences, he gained a lasting appreciation for hard work, personal ethics, honesty, integrity, and the importance of building enduring personal relationships. Colleagues and clients describe him as a thoughtful, deliberate, and hands-on professional who demonstrates genuine care for everyone he serves. He is committed to treating clients like family, not only by fostering strong connections and acting in their best interests, but also by consistently striving to offer the highest standard of professional, unbiased advice. 

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Eric enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. His hobbies include fly fishing, golf, participating in NHRA small tire drag racing, and enjoying activities with his grandchildren. Eric and his wife, Dolores, have been married since October 2000 and are proud parents of two children, as well as grandparents to Joseph, Theresa, Erik, and Jazmine. 

Eric earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2002, followed by the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 2003 from The American College. In 2013, he obtained the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from The College for Financial Planning, and in 2015, received the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation.
